Zaden Kemar Goodman, age 17, passed away on January 11, 2026. Born on February 15, 2008, Zaden lived a life marked by kindness and a deep love for family, friends, and community.
Zaden was a free spirit who loved track, music, especially Alicia Keys, and crab legs. He graduated early from Emerald High School to begin his college education at Lander University in Greenwood, South Carolina, where he was pursuing a degree in biology. Zaden was employed by McDonald’s of Greenwood.
He was preceded in death by great grandmothers Ada Lee Goodman and Vernice Daniel and step grandfather Keith Kennedy.
Zaden is survived by his mother Kimberly (Eric) Quarles of the home and father Moctavius Goodman (fiancé Tatiyanna Jones) of Greenwood, South Carolina. He also leaves to cherish his memories his brother Moctavius Goodman, Jr. of Greenwood, South Carolina; his twin Zymere Goodman of the home; his sister Amari Goodman of the home; maternal grandparents Anthony Fuller and Virginia Jennings of Greenwood, South Carolina; Elaine Fuller-Kennedy of Abbeville, South Carolina; Janice (Calvin) Lark of Promised Land, South Carolina; maternal great grandmother Carrie Mae Hall of Greenwood, South Carolina; one niece Marleigh Goodman of Greenwood, South Carolina, five step siblings, Jalen Quarles, Jamarr Quarles, Erin Quarles, Jaelyn Beaubrun, Bryce Lackey all of Greenwood, South Carolina; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Services are 1:00 pm on Monday, January 19, 2026 at Morris Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Public viewing will be from 3:00-6:00 pm on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Robinson & Son Mortuary. Online condolences may be sent to robson@nctv.com.
