McCormick, SC- Yank Mack Tennant, 76, of 713 South Mine Street, Apt. D-4, widower of Laura M. Brunson Tennant, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022, at his home. Born in McCormick, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Willie Edwards Tennant, and the late Josie Lee Anderson Tennant.
He leaves to cherish his memories, six brothers, Samuel Harris of Asheville, NC, Robert Tennant, and Charles “Eddie” Tennant both of Greenwood, George Tennant, and Kenneth (Earline) Tennant both of McCormick, and Reggie (Crystal) Anderson of Ninety Six; four sisters, Willie Mae Johnson of Inman, Dora Brooks, Suddie D. (Roosevelt) Davis, and Shirley (Ernest) Morgan all of Greenwood; three grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Services will be 12:00 Noon on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at New Hope Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Michael Butler. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be from 1-6 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2022, at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc. Please be mindful and practice social distancing and wear a mask.
