Willie Quarles, 65, of 128 Circular Ave., widower of Cheryl Quarles, transitioned from earth to heaven on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Hospice House of Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont. Born in Greenwood, South Carolina, he is the son of Ellen Payne Quarles, and the late Thomas Quarles. He was a member of Second Damascus Baptist Church.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother Ellen Quarles of the home; two daughters, Lucinda Williams, and Crystal Coates, both of Greenwood, SC; one brother, Thomas Quarles Jr. of Greenwood, SC; two sisters, Sarah Quarles of Greenwood, SC, and Mary Reeder of Clinton, SC; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Services will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Second Damascus Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Leroy Robertson. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be from 1-6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc.
