Willie Holmes

Greenwood, SC- Willie Holmes, 76, formerly of Greenwood, widower of Gladys Holmes, transitioned from earth to heaven on Monday, February 5, 2024, at McCormick Post Acute. Born in Greenwood, South Carolina he was the son of the late Robert Holmes, and the late Mamie Hackett Holmes. He is preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Louise Meadows, and Lillie Ruth Joe.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Tracy Holmes Jackson, Vernique Holmes Seigler, Travis Holmes, Sherell Means, and Karen Kinard; two brothers, John R. (Mary) Holmes, and James C. (Louise) Holmes; three sisters, Vera White, Evelyn M. Tonic, and Annette Carter; ten grandchildren; Ashton Holmes, Mi’Angel Clark, Bryson Wideman, Kenneth Gray, Rachel Miller, Patience Alexander, Shariya Means, Jessica Means, Katelyn Means, Kejarrious (Kentricia) Wideman; four godchildren, Milo Jenkins, Ardie Campbell, Vershell (Rodney) Reynolds, and Ethel (Maseco) Smith;

Services will be 12:00 P.M. on Monday, February 12, 2024, at Jacob Chapel Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Jerry Brown. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Viewing from 1-6 p.m. & Visitation from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2024, at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc. Online condolences may be sent to robson@nctv.com.
