Willie L. Burton

Willie L. Burton 104, of 607-A Trakas Ave., widow of Joseph Burton, gained her angel wings on Friday, February 24, 2022, at her home. Born in Greenwood County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Sheppard, and the late Cressie Gaskin. She was a member of Second Damascus Baptist Church and she was the last immediate survivor of the family.

She leaves to cherish her memories; three daughters,  Barbara Barksdale, Bessie Robinson and Rhonda Burton, all of Greenwood; two sons, Larry (Michelle) Holmes of Clinton,and Willie Sheppard of Greenwood and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM on Thursday March 2,2023 at Robinson & Son Mortuary conducted by Rev. Danny Webb and Pastor Arthur Williams. Burial will follow in the Evening Star Cemetery. Public viewing will be Wednesday March 1,2023 from 1-3 PM. Please be mindful and practice social distancing and wear a mask.  Online condolences may be sent to robson@nctv.com.
