Susie "May Pop" Coleman

Mrs. Susie "May Pop" Coleman, 70, departed Friday June 6, 2025, at her home following a brief illness. She was born in Greenwood County on June 14, 1954, to the late Ellis (Mattie Lee Carter) Holloway, Sr. She graduated from Ninety Six High School Class of 1973. "May Pop" retired from Greenwood Mills. She was a member of Pine Pleasant Baptist Church, where she served on the Pastor's Aide and Missionary Ministry. She attended Ellite Senior Center. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Ellis Holloway, Jr., Charlie Holloway, Sr. and Bennie Lee Holloway.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Jessie J. Coleman of the home; three sons, Norman (Misty) Holloway, Antwon (Jessica) Coleman, and Michael (Danielle) Coleman all of Greenwood, SC; a daughter, Marquitta Holloway of Ninety Six, SC; three grandchildren reared in the home, Mylasha (Jordan) Morgan, Janasia Day, and Markevious Holloway.
Susie is also survived by three brothers Sammie Lee (Lou Ella) Holloway, Melvin Holloway both of Greenwood, SC , and Matthew (Angela) Holloway of Gray Court, SC; two special aunts, Annie May Herbert and Helen Carter; 11  grandchildren, 19 great grands; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and a sister in love, Brenda Bryson of Greenwood, SC

Services will be 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Pine Pleasant Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Willie Cannady. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held 1-6 P.M. on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Robinson & Son Mortuary, Inc. Arrangements are being handled by Robinson & Son Mortuary, Inc.
