Greenwood, SC- Shirley Mae Watson Wilson, 60, of 219 Frances Street, widow of Alonzo Wilson, departed this walk of life on Friday, October 18, 2024, at Self Regional Healthcare. Born in Greenwood, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Dennis Watson and the late Beatrice Coleman Watson. She was a member of True Vine Progressive Church. She is preceded in death by five brothers, Joe Watson, Larry Watson, Sammy Watson, Charles Watson, and James Watson; three sisters, Frances Morgan, Dorothy Watson, and Mary Watson; and two brothers-in-law’s, Robert Jennings, and James Cobb.
She leaves to cherish her memories, four daughters, Yolanda (Damarkus) Turner of the home, Natasha D. Wilson, and Angela Butler (Kendrick) both of Greenwood, SC, and Demetrius Lindsey of Cross Hill, SC; three stepsons, Orlando T. Wilson and Alonzo Smith both of Greenwood, SC, and Daquarous Butler of North Carolina; two brothers, Thomas Watson (Dorothy) and David Watson both of Greenwood, SC; five sisters, Pearlena Jennings, Geneva Cobb, Beatrice Coleman, Mary Jane (Phillip) Robinson, and Patricia (Guy) McKee all of Greenwood, SC; eight grandchildren, three grandchildren which were reared in the home, Carltarious Lyles, Jaquarious Wilson, and Kimyia Wilson; two great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at True Vine Progressive Church, Officiating Bishop Paul Jennings Sr. and Presiding Elder Rufus Jennings. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be from 1-6 p.m. Friday, October 25, 2024, at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc. Online condolences may be sent to robson@nctv.com.
