Sammie Lee Anderson, 52 of 33 Schoolhouse Lane, departed his walk of life peacefully on Thursday, June 27th, 2024, at Self Regional Medical Center.
He was surrounded by his mother, son, siblings, and other family members as he transitioned.
Big Hank, as he was affectionately called by his family and friends was born on September 5, 1971, in Edgefield, South Carolina to Pearline Kimble Anderson, of Greenwood, SC and Hollie Anderson Sr. of McCormick, SC.
He was known for his sense of humor, storytelling, and love for the Pittsburg Steelers.
Hank also had a love for music and enjoyed being a disc jockey (DJ).
He was a member of Pleasant Lane Baptist Church in Edgefield, SC.
Leaving to cherish his most fond and precious memories are his parents, Pearline Kimble Anderson and Hollie Anderson Sr; his son, Jarvis (Natasha) Anderson; two brothers, Hollie Anderson Jr and Danny Anderson; four sisters, Tonitra Spearman, Brenda (Terry) McCauley, Jannie Mae (Elmond) Morton and Angela Price; three grandchildren, Alexus Boyd, Deasia Boyd and Kemiya Boyd; four nieces, Hollee Anderson, Tanasia Spearman, Shemaiah Anderson and LaHollis Anderson; four nephews, Kentrez Anderson, Brykeese Spearman, Brett Spearman Jr and Deandre Morton. A host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends also survive him to mourn his passing.
Services will be 11am on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Pleasant Lane Baptist Church in Edgefield, SC conducted by Reverend Melvin Searles and Reverend David Parks. Burial will follow onsite at Pleasant Lane Baptist Church. Viewing will be from 1-6pm on Tuesday July 2, 2024, at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc. Online condolences may be sent to robson@nctv.com.
