Greenwood, SC- Rhunette Hurley Terry, 69, of 1091 Parkland Place Apt. C-3, widow of Benjamin Frank Terry, gained her angel wings on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the home of her daughter. Born in Greenwood, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Albert Hurley and the late Mae Lou Thomas Hurley. She was member of Ebenezer Baptist Church where she served as a Trustee of the church. Rhunette is preceded in death by five brothers, James “Ball” Hurley, John Hurley, Tony Hurley, Henry Hurley, and Albert Hurley; three sisters, Lillie Harrison, Pauline Hurley, and Essie Mae Tolbert; one great grandchild, Kamias Nelson; and four stepsisters, Mickey Tolbert, Bessie Johnson, Dot, and Elizabeth.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, one daughter, Latasha Hurley of Greenwood, SC; one sister, Nina Mae Watts of Greenwood, SC; four grandchildren, Kemad D. White, Ketavious Greene, Kezion Tennant, and Keshaun Tennant; one great grandchild, Izial Nelson; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Services will be 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Ebenezer A.M.E. Church, conducted by Rev. Willie Cromer. The body will be placed in the church at 2:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Springfield Baptist Church on Laurens Highway. Viewing will be from 1-3 P.M. on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Robinson & Son Mortuary, Inc.
