Greenwood, SC- Polly Mae Robinson Duncan Chiles, 87, of 303 McKeller Drive, widow of James C. Chiles, gained her angel wings on Monday, September 1, 2025, at Self Regional Healthcare. Born in Greenwood County, South Carolina she was the daughter of the late Willie Robinson and the late Mary Lee (Walter) Hogan Palmore. She was a member of Calvary Grove Baptist Church where she was a member of the Women’s Aide Society, a member of the Golden Girls, she was a member of Shape Not Choir and Calvary Grove Gospel Choir. She is preceded in death by one daughter, Sarah Lomax.
She leaves to cherish her memories, two sons, Charels Randy Duncan of Greenwood, SC and Rev. Dr. John A. (Clarissa) Duncan of Easley, SC; three daughters, Linda R. Pendermon, Gwen (Leroy) Griffin, and Katina Reid all of Greenwood, SC; three sisters, Annie Kate McMorris of Greenwood, SC, Minister Louise (Stanley Little) Vandiver and Mildred (Danny) Boggs both of Anderson, SC; three stepchildren, Calvin, Ricky, and Michael Chiles; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Calvary Grove Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Michelle Cummings. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Viewing will be from 1-6 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2025, at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc. The family will be at the home. Online condolences may be sent to robson@nctv.com.
