Nell Goode Martin

Greenwood, SC- Nell Goode Martin, 84, of 314 Pinehurst Drive, widow of Herbert H. Martin, gained her angel wings on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at her home. Born in Greenwood, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Goode and the late Flossie Mosley Goode. She was preceded in death by three brothers, David Goode, Thomas Goode, Sr. and Harold Goode, one sister, Harriett Goode Phelps and a daughter-in-law, Audrey Sullivan Martin.

She leaves to cherish her memories, four sons,  Rev. Herbert (Inger) Martin of Aiken, SC, Thomas L. Martin of Belton, SC, Stanley B. Martin ( Peggy Higgins) and Ken (Charity) Martin both of Greenwood, SC; two daughters, Barbara Goode (Willie Perrin) of Greenwood, SC and Jonell (Adrian) Sanders of the home; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Services will be 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the chapel of Robinson & Son Mortuary, Inc., conducted by Rev. Herbert Martin. Burial will follow in The Evening Star Cemetery. Viewing will be from 1:00-6:00 pm on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc. Online condolences may be sent to robson@nctv.com.
