Marvin George Henderson

Greenwood, SC- Marvin George Henderson, 81, of 1125 Central Avenue, departed this walk of life on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Self Regional Healthcare. Born in Greenwood, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Rev. Joe Henderson and the late Cornelia Ross Henderson. He was a former member of Second Damascus Baptist Church, and a Veteran of the United States Army. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Wilson Henderson and Alexander Henderson.

He leaves to cherish his memories, one son, Brian Gilchrist of Greenwood, SC; one daughter, Montrez Hackett of Greenwood, SC; three brothers, Joe Dennis (Barbara) Henderson of Greenwood, SC, John Wesley (Maggie) Henderson of Kingstree, SC, and Edward (Brenda) Henderson of Durham, NC; two sisters, Janie Mosley of Promised Land, SC and Emma McClinton of Due West, SC; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
