Martez Jesse Holmes

Greenwood, SC- Martez Jesse Holmes, 38, of 111 Lawton Street, husband of Tara Renee Holmes, departed this walk of life on Monday, December 4, 2023, at Self Regional Healthcare. Born in Greenwood, South Carolina he is the son of Barbara Jean Williams Holmes, and the late Marvin Holmes. He is a veteran of the United States Army, and he is preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin Holmes II, and Kahali Chaney.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Tara Renee Holmes of the home; one son, Martez Jesse Holmes II of the home; three daughters, Adriana Renee Holmes, Audrey Rylnn Holmes, and Aubree Rayne Holmes all of the home; his mother, Barbara Jean Williams Holmes of Greenwood, SC; two brothers, Ralph Chaney, and Omar Chaney both of Greenwood, SC; an aunt, Carrie Hall; his father-in-law, and his mother-in-law, Robert, and Deborah Gillion; a brother-in-law, Kevin (Megan) Mitchell Gillion; and a niece, Alayna Gillion; an unborn grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at the chapel of Robinson & Son Mortuary, Inc, conducted by Rev. Tommy Stanford. Viewing will be from 1-6 p.m. Friday, December 15, 2023, at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc. Burial will be 1:00 P.M. on, Friday, December 29, 2023, at M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veteran’s Cemetery.
