Lucinda Lashay "Molly or Shay" Coats Williams

Greenwood, South Carolina- Lucinda LaShay Coats Williams, also known as “Molly or Shay”, 45, of 636 Taggart Street, gained her angel wings on Monday, December 1, 2025, at Self Regional Healthcare. Born November 10, 1980, in Greenwood, South Carolina, she is the daughter of Jesse (Tammy) Calhoun and the late Willie and Cheryl Lynn “Top Cat” Coats Quarles. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Bennie and Eddie Lee Coats, paternal grandparents, Joel and Jannie Lee Calhoun, and a brother, Antoine Calhoun.

Shay attended the public school in Greenwood, South Carolina and was formerly employed as a caregiver before her health declined.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Destiny Harris of Greenwood, SC; a son, Antrevis Rakeen Gilliam of Greenville, SC; five sisters, Crystal Coats, Karrissa (Kendrick) Makins, Aquetta (Kivi) Robinson, Yashika (John) Stewart, and Mynisha Wilson, and a brother, Brandon Calhoun all of Greenwood, SC; her paternal grandmother, Ellen Quarles of Greenwood, SC; thirteen grandchildren, Serenity Harrison, Cameron Harris, Thailyn Scrivens, Madalynn Nicholson, Kayson Nicholson, Kyson Nicholson, Daqwanta Nicholson, Antrevis Gilliam Jr., Zykeen Gilliam, Christian Coleman, Avion Gilliam, Kehlani Holmes, and one grandchild on the way; her aunts, Donna Coats, Stephanie Coats, Cynthia Martin, Mabel Drennon all of Greenwood, SC and Angela Calhoun of Greenville, SC; her great aunts, Ella Brown, Mattie Williams, and Nancy Light; great-great aunt, Willie Wilson of Hodges, SC; four uncles, Brian (Diane) Calhoun, Joel (Loretta) Calhoun, Ben (Bobbie) Calhoun, and James Calhoun; special friends, Pattie Adams and Thomas Neal;  her cousin, Sebastain Thomas; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Services will be 2:30 P.M. on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Chapel of Robinson & Son Mortuary, Inc, conducted by Rev. Joseph R. Caldwell. Viewing will be from 1-6 p.m. Friday, December 5, 2025, at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc. The family is at the home. Online condolences may be sent to robson@nctv.com.
