Josie Lee Williams Wideman was born on December 9, 1950 to the union of Essie T and George Williams in Greenwood, South Carolina. She was among the youngest of two sisters the late Bernice Willams and Juanita Meadows.
She was a member of SpringField Baptist church. She graduated at Brewer class of 1969 and later went on to serve in the National Guard for 12 years in Greenwood then went to Texas where she served and worked at Dallas Medical Center. After getting out of the military she moved back to Greenwood where she worked at National Textiles for 11 years. In 1997 she met her husband Clyde Wideman where they shared 28 beautiful years together. She was a devoted wife, mother, grand mother, and great grandmother. She was known as the friend you could always count on. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Josie is survived by her husband Clyde Wideman, daughters Alacia Willams and Mary Williams Wideman, granddaughters Asia Brazil and Marquinta Obomanu, grandson Marquis Williams, great granddaughters Paris Brazil, Lauren Obomanu, Savannah Obomanu, and Free Williams, Nieces Sonya and Tangie Willams, great nephew Christopher Williams, special friend Velma Butler host of family and friends.
