John Darnell Mitchell Jr.

Greenwood, SC- John Darnell Mitchell Jr., 80, of 216 Perry Drive, departed this walk of life on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at his home. Born in Cleveland, Ohio he was the son of the late John Darnell Mitchell Sr. and the late Louise Whatley. He was a member of, Church of Latter Day Saints. He is preceded in death by one son, John Mitchell III, one brother, Robert Mitchell, and three deceased granddaughters.

He leaves to cherish his memories, two sons, Keith Mitchell of Orville, OH, Darnell (Quetta) Fields of Lorain, OH; six daughters, Janice (Tyrone) Harvey of Garfield Heights, OH, Rochelle (Joel) Harvey of Wilmington, NC, Stacey (Gregory) King of Columbus, OH, Roshunda Austin of Lakewood, OH, Jonetta Jemison (Ernest Dominick) and Sequetta Jemison both of Greenwood, SC; three brothers, Ivory Mitchell of Cleveland, OH, Tyrone Mitchell  and Willie Harris Jr. both of Ohio; three sisters, Geraldine Barrett of Euclid, OH, Deloris Knight of Garfield Heights, OH, and Kathleen Hipps of Las Vegas, NV; thirty-one grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
