Jerry Williams

Greenwood, SC- Jerry "Pop" Williams, 62, of 105 Iroquois Drive, husband of Gwendolyn  Williams, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at Self Regional Healthcare. Born in Greenwood, South Carolina he is the son of Elnora Williams Jennings, and the late Jesse Williams. He was a member of New Faith Tabernacle Church. He is preceded in death by one brother, Calvin Williams, and two sisters, Jessie Mae Rappley and Brenda Hawkins.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Elnora Jennings of the Promised Land Community; his loving wife of "20" years, Gwendolyn Williams of the home; two sons, Jeremiah K. Williams of the home, and Karl (Rosie) Lanier II of Laveen Arizona; two brothers, James (Janie Sue) Williams and Alonzo (Janet) Williams both of Greenwood, SC; four sisters, Lucile (Joe) Morgan, Mamie (Floyd) Nicholson and Gladys (Delaney) Smith all of Greenwood, SC and  Betty (David) Henry of Indianapolis, IN; five grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. 

Services will be 2:00 P.M. on Friday, July 5, 2024 at Morris Chapel Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Bernard Morman. Burial will follow in The Evening Star Cemetery. Viewing will be from 11:00 am-2:00 pm on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at Robinson & Son Mortuary, Inc.  The family is at the home and the home of his mother.
