Born on October 10, 1937 in Dry Fork, VA, she was the daughter of the late Marcellus and Marie T. Lee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Emory "Boot" Robinson, her brother, Marcellus Lee, Jr. and a sister, Hattie Allen.
Growing up in the Dry Fork area of Virgina, she attended elementary schools and graduated from Southside High School. After graduating, she attended V.A. State University and went to Mt. Vernon, NY where she attended West Chester School of Business in New Rochelle, NY. She attended and graduated from Allen University in Columbia, SC., where she met her husband. After marrying, she moved to Greenwood, SC and she furthered her education and graduated from Lander University with a certification in Library Science and Early Childhood Education and graduated from Clemson University with a Master's Degree in Administration and Supervision. She retired from GLEAMS Human Resources Commission.
She was united in holy matrimony to Donald E. Robinson on June 3, 1962, and to that union three daughters were born, Sylvia Michelle Robinson, Donna Marie (Robinson) Jones and Sabrina Yvette (Keith) Robinson-Martin.
On Tuesday morning, October 14, 2025, she took God's hand and went home to be with her Lord and Savior at the home of her sister, Barbara (Sonny) Wilson, in Gretna, Va.
Her legacy will live own through her three daughters; her grandchildren, Courtney Herring, Ebony(Evens) Robert, Miles Herring, Savannah Pollock, Courtney Harris, Delvon "Tez" Martin and Kahmari Ragin and her adopted grandson, Jaden Holmes; great grandchildren, Zomaria "Zoey" Herring, Miles McCoy, Kaden Martin, Aurianna Harris, Addison Martin, Omari Spearman and Zina Hall two "fur grandchildren," Boston Martin and Bailey Pollock; a devoted sister and brother-in-law, Barbara Ann (Sonny) Wilson, who cared for her in last days; special caregivers, Sister Joyce White and Sue (Derrick) Wilson; two special adopted sons, James "Robert" Dean, Jr. and Domoneek Holmes; Kyra a special young lady who attended to her as her health started to decline before she went home to Virginia and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Services will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 1:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Oakbrook Memorial Park, 3007 US-25, Hodges, S.C., Burial will follow. Public viewing will be Tuesday, October 21, 2025, from 2:00- 7:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc. with family visitation from 5:00-7:00 P.M. the Delta Omega Omega Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to robson@nctv.com .
