Greenwood, SC- Jean Elizabeth Bacote, 92, of 117 Saddle Hill Road, entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 19, 2021, at Self Regional Healthcare. Born in New Jersey, Jersey City she was the daughter of the late Clifford Simmons and the late Carrie A. Hollenbeck Simmons. She was a member of the Prevailing Church, and a former member of Deliverance Jesus is Coming in Irvington, New Jersey.
Surviving her are five sisters, Juanita White of Orange New Jersey, Mary (Horace) Thomas of Dale City Virginia, Carol Griffith, and Beryl Dillion both of Linden, New Jersey, Judy (James)Elam of Mt. Bethel Pennsylvania; three brothers, Clifford Simmons Jr, of Newark, New Jersey, Alfred Simmons, of Flowery Branch, Ga, and Ronald (Dianne) Simmons of Frederick, Maryland; two special daughters, Judy (James)McLaurin and Patricia (Larry) Lofton; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives to mourn her passing.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at The Prevailing Church, conducted by Apostle Kevin and Jessie Simmons, and Eulogy by Bishop-Elect Vanessa Everett. Body will be placed in the church at 10:00 A.M. Viewing will be from 1-6 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc.
