Janie Pearl Jones Fisher, 91, widow of Charlie Matthew Fisher, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at her home. Born in Greenwood County, she was the daughter of the late William and Sophie Nellie Thomas Jones, Sr.
She retired from Kemet Electronics and was a devoted member of Young’s Chapel Baptist Church, where she served faithfully on the Deaconess Board and sang with the Senior Choir.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband.
She leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Charles (Claudette) Fisher Sr. of Greenwood; three daughters, Janice M. Fisher of the home, Malessa A. (David) Dorch of Beech Island, South Carolina, and Latonya P. Fisher of the home; one brother, William (Bertha) Jones Jr. of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Charles (Brittany) Fisher Jr., Greenwood, S.C., Dr. Aaron Dorch, and Stephen Dorch, all of Beech Island, South Carolina; and one great-grandchild, Jaelan Fisher of Greenwood.
Services for Mrs. Janie will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 3:00 P.M., at Young’s Chapel Baptist Church with Reverend Lonnie West, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Public viewing will be Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Robinson & Son Mortuary. Online condolences may be sent to Robson@nctv.com.
