James Arthur Drennon Jr.

Saluda, SC- James Arthur Drennon Jr., 69, of 581 Newberry Highway, widower of Carman Priscillia Drennon, gained his wings on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Saluda Nursing and Rehab Center. Born in Troy, South Carolina, he was the son of the late James Arthur Drennon and the late Mary Thomas Drennon. He was a member of Glover’s Chapel Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Drennon, three sisters, Mildred Tate, Janie P. Harrison and Sandra Faye Drennon, and two grandchildren, Aveon and Avalon Carter.

He leaves to cherish his friends, one son, Stevin (Justinelori) Carter of Greenwood, SC; one daughter, Erica Drennon of Greenwood, SC; four brothers, Willie (Faye) Drennon of McCormick, SC, Michael Drennon of Greenwood, SC, Bernard Drennon of Ninety Six, SC, and Levi Drennon of Greenwood, SC; two sisters, Mitosha Drennon and Eula (Andrew) Payton both of Greenwood, SC; eight grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Glover’s Chapel Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Charles Boyce. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2024, at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc. Online condolences may be sent to robson@nctv.com.
