James Robert Dean Sr.

James Robert “Jimmy” Dean, Sr., 76, of 102 Montclair Drive, Apartment G, entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 10, 2025, at his home.

Born in Greenwood, he was the son of the late Jessie Mae Dean Conway. He was a former member of Macedonia C.M.E. Church in Hodges, where he served in many capacities, and was a mechanic for Boles Bus Lines and was a dedicated employee of Tyco Kendall until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother, Johnny Conway.

Cherishing his memory are one daughter, Tamika LaTrell (Winston) Fisher of Columbia, SC; one son, James Robert Dean, Jr. of Greenwood, SC; one sister, Phyllis (Frankie) Henderson of Hodges, SC; two grandchildren, Amani K. Fisher and Takyra J. Fisher, both of Columbia, SC; two nephews; and a host of cousins and friends who will forever remember him with love.

Services will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Evening Star Cemetery, with Rev. Charvis K. Gray officiating. Public Viewing will be from 3-6 PM, Saturday November 15, 2025, at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc. The family is at their respective homes; Online condolences may be sent to robson@nctv.com.
