Jakari Antwon Burnside was born on December 28, 2023, in Greenville, South Carolina. In the Lord’s divine providence, he passed away shortly after his birth. Jakari was the son of Jerrenee Nykia Wideman and Gregory Lee Burnside Jr.
In addition to his parents, Jakari is survived by his brother, Juelz Wideman, and his sister, Jy’Ny Burnside of the home, twelve additional siblings; grandparents, Shannon and Tony “Frank” Freeman of Greenwood, SC, Mitch (Shirley) Ross of Augusta, GA, and Mrs. Angela (T.C.) Jackson and Mr. Gregory (Debra) Cunningham of Laurens, SC; great grandparents, Mrs. Willie Mae Wideman of Greenwood, SC, Mrs. Joann Freeman of Greenwood, SC, and Rev. Guy Ross of Greenwood, SC; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Service will be 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Little Zion A.M.E Church, 116 Grange Road, Greenwood, South Carolina, conducted by Reverend Beatrice O. Coleman. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family is at the home of grandparents, Shannon and Tony “Frank” Freeman, 118 Lauren Circle, Greenwood, South Carolina.
