Gerald O Hunter

Gerald O. Hunter, 56, 153 Avondale Road, gained his angel wings on Saturday, December 24, 2022, at his home. Born in Laurens County, he was the son of the late Bobby Hunter, and the late Modestine Byrd Hunter. He was a graduate of Laurens High School and attended Winthrop University. He was a member of the Sons of Aide #55. He was also a member of Flat Ruff Baptist Church in Gray Court, SC. He is preceded in death by one daughter, Alexis Gernae Hunter.

He leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife of  25 years, Glynda Walker Hunter of the home; two daughters, Nadya Grace Hunter of the home and Deajah Johnson of Columbia SC; two brothers, Rev. Johnny (Sharon) Byrd of Orangeburg, SC, Timothy (Phyllis) Hunter of Simpsonville, SC; two sisters, Barbara Wimphrie of Central, SC and Gloria Young of Woodruff, SC and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday December 29, 2022, at Robinson & Son Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Johnny Byrd. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be from 1:00 PM -6:00 PM Wednesday December 28, 2022, at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc.  Please be mindful and practice social distancing and wear a mask.  Online condolences may be sent to robson@nctv.com.
