Greenwood, SC- Freddie Lee Cheatham, 73, of 118 Myrtle Street, widower of Yvonne Cheatham, transitioned from earth to heaven on Monday, January 1, 2024, at Magnolia Manor of Greenwood. Born in Greenwood, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Effort Lee Cheatham, Sr., and the late Jennie Vicy Paterson. He was a member of The Prevailing Church in Greenwood, and he is preceded in death by a brother, Calvin Cheatham.
He leaves to cherish his memories, two sons, Tracy (Teresa) Cheatham of Anderson, SC, and Brian (Crystal) Cheatham of Ninety Six, SC; three daughters, Bridget (Christopher) Porter of Ninety Six, SC, Kimberly Moore of Greenwood, SC, and Courtney (Roy Lee) Brooks of Simpsonville, SC; two brothers, Effort (Martha) Cheatham Jr. of Hephzibah, GA, and Joe Cheatham of Aiken, SC; five sisters, Elizabeth Jones and Alice Miles both of Edgefield, SC, Annette Cheatham Hardy of Hephzibah, GA, Bernice Bohle of Hartwell, GA, and Martha (Corneilus) Tucker of Stone Mountain, GA; a close sister-in-law, Amanda Cheatham of Hephzibah, GA; sixteen grandchildren, Khadijah Moore, Brandon (Makayla) Baugh Cheatham, CJ Moore, Kieonte Moore, Randall Moore, Channin (Morgan) Moore, Brittany Gilliam, Briana Gilliam, Maria Gilliam, David Gilliam, Tracy Cheatham Jr., Janiah Lomax, Carissa and Brayden Cheatham, Brian Cheatham Jr., and Jazmyn and Hannah Porter,; two great grandchildren, Mason Porter, and Jaqez Jackson Jr.; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 5, 2024, at The Prevailing Church, conducted by Apostle Jessie Simmons. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
