Frances Ann (Brown) Shine

Ms. Frances Ann Brown Shine of Greenwood, SC, made her peaceful transition on September 19, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at her home in Greenville, SC. She was the cherished daughter of the late David and Rena Brown.

Frances was educated at Brewer High School and continued her studies at Lander College. She went on to dedicate more than 30 years as a registered nurse, where her compassion, skill, and kindness touched countless lives both professionally and personally.

She leaves to cherish her memory two devoted children, Richard Shine and Angela Shine Lanier; five grandchildren, Travis Lanier, Kevin Lanier, Kourtney Lanier, Kershina Robinson, and Victoria Robinson; and three great-grandchildren, Karlee, Kason, and Jiavonna Lanier. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Michelle Shine Robinson.

Frances is also survived by three sisters, Mildred Smith of California, Linda Culberson of Nevada, and Doris Brown of Bradley, SC; one brother, Melvin Brooks Brown of Greenwood, SC; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other treasured family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Robinson and Son Mortuary in Greenwood, SC. The family will receive visitors on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the family home.
