Emma Jean White Wright

Greenwood, SC- Emma Jean White Wright, 84, of 709 Whitehall Road, widow of Johnnie Wright, gained her angel wings on Monday, November 4, 2024, at her home. Born in Greenwood, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Augustus White Sr. and the late Pearl Warren White. She was a member of Cross Road Baptist Church where she served as a Missionary, Sunday School Teacher, Youth Advisor of Choir, and a member of the Senior and Gospel Choirs. She is preceded in death by a son, Leroy Wright.

She leaves to cherish her memories, two sons, Anthony Wright of Greenwood, SC and Johnnie Frank (Daphne) Wright of Irmo, SC; two daughters, Minister Debbie Chisholm of Greenwood, SC and Brenda Jean Wright of Irmo, SC; a daughter-in-law, Lula Wright of Greenwood, SC; three sisters, Helen Norman of Promised Land, SC, Peggy (Howard) Miller of Antreville, SC, and Mary Leman of Greenwood, SC; two sisters-in-law, Mary White and Zola Wright; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Cross Road Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Joseph Caldwell. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be from 1-6 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2024, at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc. Online condolences may be sent to robson@nctv.com.
