DeMarkese Lorencio Makins

Spartanburg, SC- DeMarkese Lorencio Makins, 31, of 224 Caulder Circle, departed this walk of life on Saturday, April 19, 2025. Born in Greenwood, South Carolina, he is the son of Leatrice Harrison and Johnny Makins Jr. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Loretta Harrison, his maternal grandfather, John Henry Benjamin, and his paternal grandfather, Johnny Makins Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Leatrice Harrison of Spartanburg, SC; his father, Johnny Makins Jr. of Greenwood, SC; his fiancé, Nakita Davis of the home; one son, M’Siah Quarles of Greenwood, SC; three daughters, Na’riyah Makins and Ni’lynn Makins both of Greenwood, SC and Nyla Makins of the home; three brothers, TJ Makins, JD Makins, and Jeremiah “Zay” Makins all of Greenwood, SC; one sister, Quamekia Makins of Greenwood, SC; paternal grandmother, Carolyn Makins of Greenwood, SC; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at The Evening Star Cemetery. There will be “No Public Viewing”. Online condolences may be sent to robson@nctv.com. Arrangements are being handled by Robinson and Son Mortuary Inc.
