David Hackett

David Hackett, 72 of 1705 Westbrook Dr., entered into eternal rest on Tuesday Dec 6, 2022 at Post Acute Nursing Home.
David was born on Nov 19, 1950 to the late James and Ella Ruth Hackett. He was the husband of the late Gwendolyn Hackett. He was preceded in death by a sister Cynthia Rush Hackett.

David was a 1970 graduate of Greenwood High School where he was inducted into the Greenwood Athletic Hall of Fame in 2014. He also attended Western Governors University and was employed at the Harris Plant where he retired in 2017.
David leaves to cherish his memories; one son, David Hackett of the home; four daughters, Michelle (Leroy) Kelly of McCormick, Latrinda Hackett of Fountain Inn, Reza Hackett of Greenwood, Gwynista Hackett of Greenwood;  four brothers, Douglas (Bessie Ann) Collins of Greenwood, Ronald (Georgia) Hackett of Greenwood, Darren Hackett of Promised Land, and Milton (Jamie) Hackett of Concord NC; one sister, Paulette (Rufus) Turner of Promised Land; a brother in law, James Rush of Greenwood; twelve grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. on Saturday December 17,2022 at Little River Multicultural Complex. Viewing will be from 1-6 p.m on Friday December 16,2022 at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc.
