Danny Brooks Sr.

Greenwood, SC- Danny Brooks, 78, 0f 334-A Louvenia Avenue, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025. He was born on December 9, 1946, to the late Ben Watts and the late Ollie Brooks. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by his parents; a devoted companion of “47” years, late Annie Clara Barr; one son, Danny Brooks Jr., and one stepson, Aaron Quincy Hall.

He leaves to cherish his memories, one son, Michael Brooks of Greenwood, SC; one daughter, Tracy Brooks (Now Deceased); five stepdaughters, Alberta Chiles, Brenda Spencer, Cassandra Jackson, Jessica (Reginald) Jackson, and Kimberly Barr all of Greenwood, SC; two stepsons, Charles (Tracy) Hall and Colie Barr (La’Mica) both of Greenwood, SC; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; one step-grandson reared in the home, Demarcus Barr; and many other family and friends.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at the Chapel of Robinson & Son Mortuary, Inc, conducted by Archbishop Emanuel Spearman. Viewing will be from 1-6 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc. The family is at the home of his stepdaughter, Brenda Spencer, 618 Hall Street, Greenwood, South Carolina. Online condolences may be sent to robson@nctv.com.
