Cynthia Williams Obituary

Our beloved Cynthia "Cyndi" White Williams, a loving, caring mother, adored wife, sister, aunt, cousin, and godmother had her sunset on February 3rd at 11:09 AM in Columbia, SC.

On August 1, 1967, Cyndi was born to Wiley White Sr. (pre-deceased) and Rev. Dora Ann White. She was raised with her siblings in Greenwood, SC, and leaves behind her sisters Rev. Annie Doris Brooks (Rev. Roosevelt), Yvonne Louden, and brothers Ralph Anderson (Charlena Anderson), Anthony Wayne White, Rev. Dr. Wiley "Stan" White (Michelle White).

Cyndi was a devoted mother to her amazing sons Cortez Miller (Alesia Miller), Jiara Miller (Ashley Miller), and Corey Miller. Her pride and joys continue her legacy through her beloved grandchildren Karson Phelps, Aiden Farley, and soon to arrive granddaughter. She loved spending time with all of her babies, including her many godchildren (Kiera Harris, Yalyzia Luck, Mark Wilson),  nieces, nephews, cousins, and more.

Her love of family was shared with her beloved husband, Gavin Williams. She inherited a loving sister-in-law (Cassie Williams) and in-laws (Bishop Frank & Paulette Williams) through this union.

Cyndi Williams was a fighter to the very end. Having been diagnosed with cancer at age 27, she became an emblem for faithful perseverance during her recovery. Despite her illness, she was an active member of the community throughout her life. She was a devout Christian and member of Bible Way Church on Atlas Road in Columbia, SC, where she was part of the Women's ministry. She was extremely passionate about her alma mater Benedict College. She was a paralegal for Bernstein and Bernstein Law Firm since 1999 and received an award for her outstanding service. As a dedication to her efforts to support women with cancer, Cyndi founded the My Heart My Breasts Foundation - a non-profit created to provide education and financial resources to women in need.

Cyndi’s heart was huge, and so was her circle. She also leaves behind God Mother Lillie Ruth Hill, God-Sisters Kay Wardlaw and Rev. Annette Edwards, God-Brother Robert Dean, friends, family, co-workers, and many more. She loved well, and she was well-loved.
