Greenwood, SC- Clifford Chinn, 87, of 204 Willowbrook Road, widower of Ida Mack Chinn, gained his wings on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at his daughter’s home. Born in Edgefield, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Cleophus Chinn and the late Annie Peterson Chinn. He was a member of Springfield Missionary Baptist Church in Edgefield, SC. He is preceded in death by three children, Garret Lee Chinn, Clifford Chinn Jr., and Diane Chinn; a brother, Ralph Chinn; three sisters, Thelma White, Leola Jones, and Ollie Mae Fisher; and a grandson, Gregory Hill.
He leaves to cherish his memories, three sons, Earl Mack of Bel-Air, MD, Jerry Chinn and Jasper Chinn both of Greenwood, SC; two daughters, Ida Chinn Parks of Donalds, SC and Crystal Chinn of Greenwood, SC; three brothers, Willie (Cora) Chinn of Johnston, SC, Albert (Sarah) Chinn and Alonza (Marilyn) Chinn both of Edgefield, SC; one sister, Annie Marie Coats of Saluda, SC; one daughter-in-law, Guanticha Chinn of Greenwood, SC; five grandchildren reared in the home, Dorshata Mack-Lynch of Philadelphia, PA, Montravious Chinn of Greenville, SC, Germyih Chinn and Tyrese Chinn both of Greenwood, SC, and Senior Airman Tarrance Chinn of Wichita, KS; twenty-five grandchildren; thirty-four great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Services will be 2:00 P.M on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Joseph Caldwell. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be from 1-6 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc. Online condolences may be sent to robson@nctv.com.
