Charles Edward "Scotty" Scott, II

Charles Edward “Scotty” Scott, II, 48, of 603 New Zion Road, Entered into the heavenly gates, on Monday, June 22, 2026.

Born in Greenwood, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Charles Edward Scott and Mary Turner (Larry) Johnson. He was a graduate of Emerald High School and a devoted employee of Caterpillar in Hodges, S.C., and attended Faith Christian Center.

Scotty, was a talented self-taught talented musician gifted in playing multiple instruments, Scotty faithfully shared his musical talents through his ministry as the organist at Faith Christian Center. His passion for music and dedication to serving God through worship touched the lives of many and will be remembered by all who had the privilege of hearing him play. Through his music, he inspired, encouraged, and uplifted countless hearts, leaving behind a lasting legacy of faith and service.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward Scott, and his grandparents Ethel Turner Murray, Andrew Sibert, Willie and Nellie Scott and Lucille Scott.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving mother, Mary Turner (Larry) Johnson of the home; four brothers, Jared Martel Johnson of Austin, Texas, Quadrin Akivis Johnson of the home, Curtis Lennel Lewis of Greenwood, South Carolina, and Larry Donnell Johnson of Greenwood, South Carolina; one niece, Londyn Knowlton of the home; his fiancé and devoted caregiver, Cynthia “Dawn” Butler, of Greenwood; aunt and uncle, JoAnn (Moses) Lee, a great aunt, Beatrice Deloach and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Services for Mr. Charles Edward “Scotty” Scott, II will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Faith Christian Center, with Apostle Alvin Deal, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Evening Star Cemetery. There will be no public viewing. Online condolences may be sent to robson@nctv.com. The family is at the home.
