Greenwood, SC- Cedric Torrel Middleton, 51, of 104-B Spring Valley Road, departed this walk of life on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Self Regional Healthcare. Born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late James Lomax Jr. and the late Hazel Middleton. He is a Greenwood High School Alumni Class of 1992. He is preceded in death by, two sisters, Mookie Lomax and Mitzi Dunlap, his grandmothers, Maggie P. Ferguson and Nancy Middleton, and his grandfathers, George James Quarles and Buddy Lomax.
He leaves to cherish his memories, one son, Cedkevous Childs of Greenwood, SC; three daughters, Ebony Jena Sanders of Greenwood, SC, Amorya Wright, and Camille Wright both of Taylors, SC; three brothers, Frederick Elmore of Abbeville, SC, Al (Kendra) Perrin of McCormick, SC, and Darren Blocker of North Augusta, SC; three sisters, Misty Dunlap and Jewel Dunlap both of Greenville, SC and Jameca Lomax of Greenwood, SC; one grandchild, E’Muni Jones of Greenwood, SC; one grandchild on the way; a devoted aunt, Mary E. Quarles of McCormick, SC, a devoted, uncle, David Jr. Quarles of Greenwood, SC; a devoted cherished friend, Phalesia Tompkins of Greenwood, SC; a host of aunts, uncles, family, and friends to mourn his passing.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Mt. Zion A.M.E Church, 185 Mt. Zion Road, McCormick, South Carolina 29835, conducted by Rev. Tre Lyons. Burial will follow at Overbrook Cemetery in McCormick, South Carolina. Viewing will be from 1-6 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2025, at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc. The family is at the home of his aunt, Mary E. Quarles, 1366 Greenwood Highway, McCormick, SC, 29835 and the home of a daughter, Ebony Sanders, 211 Cemetery Road, Greenwood, SC.
