Carrie Bell Childs Ware, 78, of 111 Independence Way, departed this life on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Self Regional Healthcare. Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Bell Childs.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Demetrious Sentel Childs and a brother Horace Watson.
Cherishing her memory are one daughter, Louise Childs of Greenwood; one brother, James Childs of Greenwood; four sisters, Annie May Childs (Benny) Holloway, Lillie Ruth Childs, Catherine (Louis) Carroll and Beatrice Childs, all of Greenwood; one grandson, Travis (Robin) Childs of Greenwood; six great-grandchildren, Tiasia Childs, Ayden Childs, Demetrious Childs, Mahagoni Childs, Malaysia Drennon and Miliani Andrews, along with a host of other relatives and friends who will mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Ms. Carrie Bell Ware will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Robinson & Son Mortuary, with Rev. William Butler, Officiating, burial will follow at Evening Star Cemetery. Public viewing will be Thursday, September 11, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Robinson & Son Mortuary.
