Carrie Wardlaw

Carrie Wardlaw, 67, of 416 Hitching Post Road in Greenwood, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 27, 2026, at MUSC Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina. Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of Rosemary Wardlaw.

She attended Durham Temple CME Church.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: one son, Donald (Quetta) Thomas of the home; two daughters, Erica Thomas of Greenwood and Samona Thomas of West Virginia; two brothers, Frankie Johnson and Larry Anderson both of Greenwood; three sisters, Patricia (Howard) Raiford of Greenwood, Ann Anderson of Greenwood, and Darlene (Willie) Baker of Greenwood; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wardlaw will be conducted on Friday, April 3, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Robinson & Son Mortuary, with Rev. Derrick Scott, officiating. Burial will follow at Evening Star Cemetery. Public viewing will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The family is at 122 Amherst Drive, Greenwood.
