Greenwood, SC- Barbara Jean Klugh Martin, 74, of 723 Keisler Drive, widow of James “Mutt” Martin Jr., gained her angel wings on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at her home. Born in Abbeville County, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Bennie Mathis Sr. and the late Nettie Klugh Ervin. She was a member of Young’s Chapel Baptist Church, where she served as a Missionary and the Deaconess of the church. She is preceded in death by a son, Patrick Klugh, a sister, Patricia Ann Riley, and a brother-in-law, Claude Wright.
She leaves to cherish his memories, one son, Nigel (Nicole) Martin of Greenwood, SC; one daughter, Lisa Klugh of Greenwood, SC; three brothers, Anthony Klugh (Rose), Curry Gary Jr. (Sabrina), and Bennie (Dorthy) Mathis Jr. all of Greenwood, SC; four sisters, Althea Klugh of Atlanta, GA, Pamela Klugh of Greenwood, SC, Barbara Wright of Promised Land, SC, and Jackie Mathis of Greenwood, SC; five grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Young’s Chapel Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Lonnie West. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be from 1-6 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc. Online condolences may be sent to robson@nctv.com.
